Exclusive Songwriting Contract

Music publishers, use this template to prepare an Exclusive Songwriting Contract to acquire title to a songwriter's musical compositions for publishing purposes.

• The songwriter transfers to the publisher all right, title and interest in and to all of his/her songs in return for weekly advances and royalties on sales.
• The publisher has the right to refuse any song, and any rejected song remains the sole property of the songwriter.
• The songwriter has not and will not offer the compositions to any party other than the publisher during the term of the Contract.
• The publisher has the option to renew the contract.
